Nestled on a cliff in the Rocky Mountains, The Lodge at Breckenridge is one of the world's highest-altitude hotels. With 57 guest rooms, its cozy, boutique character has been carefully curated to deliver something guests can't find anywhere else. To keep up with evolving expectations without sacrificing that intimacy, the team looked for ways to modernize without losing the personal touch.
Rhonda Wilson, General Manager, gave us a look at how Canary's Mobile Keys have given guests a modern arrival experience while giving staff the freedom to focus on what matters most.
[Mobile keys] are easy to work with and easy for guests to use. It has allowed us to reduce front desk check-ins and ease the burden on our staff.
Simple Setup With Flexible Arrivals
Before mobile keys, The Lodge at Breckenridge relied entirely on RFID key cards. At peak check-in times, lobby lines created friction at exactly the moment guests should feel welcomed. Since implementing Canary's Mobile Keys, guests can skip the line entirely and access their rooms straight from their phones, letting them arrive on their own terms.
"It's easy to work with and easy for guests to use," Rhonda told us. "It has allowed us to reduce front desk check-ins and ease the burden on our staff."
Less Front Desk Congestion, More Modern Service
With a mobile-first arrivals option in place, fewer guests queue at the front desk — which means staff spend less time managing keycards and more time creating the kind of memorable moments that keep guests coming back.
"I would definitely recommend this to other hotels looking to modernize their guest experience," Rhonda said.
